hey Must Be Crazy is an Afrobeat collective based in Lisbon. Having released their first LP “Mother Nature” in 2017, recorded at Namouche Studios and mastered by Grant Phabao (Paris DJs), a new release is now in the making. Until then, “Expensive Water (Mati Yakataika)” is the most recent single featuring Portuguese/Mozambican singer Selma Uamusse. The influences are clear, from the original founder of Afrobeat, Fela Kuti, to contemporary inspirations like Jazz, Funk, and music from Lusophone Africa: Angola, Mozambique, Cabo Verde, and also Brazil.
