Dr. Drumah is the name adopted by the Bahian drummer and beatmaker Jorge Dubman. With jazz rap as his guiding principle, Dr. Drumah creates his foundations influenced by the great beatmakers of the 90s, adopting a standard boom-bap production style. On his latest album, he instigates the projection of Afro-futuristic slides in a delirious and sweeping flight over the landscapes of Nigeria, Benin, Ethiopia, Burkina Faso and Ghana. Africa is the rhythmic source of all black music worldwide. Soul, funk, jazz, reggae, salsa, cumbia, samba and everything else have their roots in the drums of the Black continent.
